Victoria Rally 2025 Trip Details.

The Beyond Bitumen Rally is coming to Victoria.

After ten years of continuous growth in New South Wales, The Beyond Bitumen Rally has spread its wings, and the BBR Victoria Rally has been created.

Our Victorian Sponsor is Smithfeutrill, Accountants & Advisors based in Hawthorn Victoria. A big thank you to all the team for their amazing support of this event. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with them. Read more about them HERE. Checkout their website HERE.

The first Victorian Rally will kick off in May 2025. We will visit Bendigo, Mildura, Horsham, Ararat, Ballarat, and most places in between.

The success of the rally has been the fact that is a 4 day 1,500 kilometre conversation with your mates about mental health in this modern world that we live in.

Get some mates together to see the countryside while raising much needed funds to support the great work that Beyond Blue does every single day in Australia.

The Dates are Thursday Night 22nd May 2025 to

Monday Lunchtime 26th May 2025.

Bendigo to Ballarat via the Bush

Thursday We will meet up in Bendigo on Thursday Night 22nd May. This will be our registration night. There will be an information session for all new participants, so that everyone gets to understand what to expect for the next few days. .

FRIDAY After a hearty breakfast we will head north for a day cruising country lanes and backroads. We will have you guessing where you will emerge from the scrub but eventually you will see the bright lights of Mildura with an abundance of warm beds and great eating establishments.

SATURDAY Breakfast will be on the riverbank of the mighty Murray River before we head for another day in the dirt. We’ll explore parts of the Big Desert and Little Desert before we check out the night life in Horsham.

SUNDAY A trip to Horsham is not complete until you have traversed The Grampians and surrounds. We have discovered some fantastic country lanes that will keep you on your toes, and wishing more of your mates were with you. Sunday Night will be in historic Ararat. Here we will have our Awards and Auction Dinner which is a highlight of the four day trip. As we come together on the final night it is a good time to reflect on the events of the weekend:- The friendships that we have made, the realisations that we have had, the conversations about life in this modern world, and many other moments to remember for a lifetime. It’s an event not to be missed. You are welcome to invite friends to join us for this dinner.

MONDAY We’ll head for the hills again this morning as we criss-cross the countryside in the general direction of Ballarat. How close do you think we can get to Ballarat without having to drive on any bitumen roads? By the time we get to Ballarat you’ll be making a list of who you can invite next year. You will be part of an exclusive group who attended the very first Victorian Beyond Bitumen Rally.

SCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER.

NOTE: Some of these details may change after we have completed our full survey of the roads.

Vehicle Eligibility: There are 3 categories of eligible vehicles: –

  • Any well prepared charity event or similar vehicle, is eligible to enter. If your charity car only gets used one week each year, or hasn’t been used for several years, this is a great opportunity to dust it off and get some more fun out of it. All vehicles must be registered and insured.
  • Any modern 4WD vehicle (Landcruiser, Patrol, Discovery, HiLux, Navara, Triton, etc.) Some SUVs may also be suitable, but it will depend upon the actual roads that we will take on the event. Please check with Peter for individual cases.
  • Any road registered rally car is also eligible to enter, as many of the roads we use have also been used for some of the iconic rounds of the Australian Rally Championships. All vehicles must be registered and insured.

If you don’t have a suitable vehicle but still want to participate, we can rent a “mine spec” vehicle at economical rates from most of the big Hire Companies – Budget, Hertz, etc).

Expenses You will need to cover the following expenses:-

Entry Fee: a $750 Non Refundable Entry Fee is payable to Charity Car Events when you register. This year’s entry fee includes two Beyond Bitumen 2024 T-Shirts per vehicle. Extra T-Shirts will be available for purchase in due time.

Donation and/or Sponsorship: Remember, this is a fundraising event for Beyond Blue. Millions of Australians are living with anxiety or depression. Beyond Blue is working to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression and suicide in the community by raising awareness and understanding, empowering people to seek help, and supporting recovery, management and resilience.

Each car’s minimum fundraising is $1,500. Remember to get your friends and contacts to support your endeavours. All their donations will be credited as part of your $1,500. We encourage you to raise as much money as you can to go towards such a great cause. The highest individual fundraising so far has been $100,000 in one year. Obviously that was an exception, but we do encourage you to keep going once you’ve hit your minimum target. If you are part of a team with more than one car – each car in the team is required to raise at least $1,500.00

NB: It is a requirement that each car entry must setup a Fundraising page – all monies added to your page go direct to Beyond Blue and the amount added to your donation tally.  All donations trigger a receipt sent directly to the doner.

If you have trouble setting up your page, please contact Trish here and she will help you.

Meals:
Many meals will be prearranged and provided by local businesses and service clubs, etc. Meal money for these prearranged meals (approx $300 per person) will be due 4 weeks before the event.

Accommodation: Will be at your own cost. We suggest you book your accommodation early to ensure you get a bed.
