NSW Rally 2025 Trip Details.
Get ready for another great adventure in 2025. When we started this journey in 2015 we wanted to start a fun event that people would support and spread the word. Well you have certainly taken up the challenge.
From just nine cars in 2015 raising $24,016, we now regularly see around 100 cars raising in excess of $500,000 each year. The rally is now the longest running community event supporting Beyond Blue.
2025 will be special in a number of ways. Not only is it 10 years since the first rally (in 2015) but also 20 years since we lost Beth to her struggle with Depression (2005). 2025 will also witness the birth of a second rally, Beyond Bitumen Victoria will commence in May 2025 and is looking like it will grow quickly (details to follow).
But back to NSW, We are heading north in 2025.
The dates will be Thursday Evening 27th March to
Monday Lunchtime 31st March 2025.
THURSDAY NIGHT. TAREE We will meet up in Taree on the evening of Thursday 27th March. This will be our registration night. There will be an information session for all new participants, and it’s always a great time to catch up with friends you may not have seen since the last rally.
FRIDAY NIGHT. GRAFTON After a hearty breakfast overlooking the majestic Manning River we will head north and pick up many of the forest roads in the hinterland around Kempsey and Coffs Harbour. We’ll spend Friday night in Grafton, on another Big River.
SATURDAY NIGHT. ARMIDALE We are planning on having breakfast at the Mountain View Hillclimb Track. Hopefully we can get to do a few laps before we head west to climb the mountains towards Glen Innes. We’ll get to Armidale for a good rest and great food on Saturday night..
SUNDAY NIGHT. SOLDIERS POINT PORT STEPHENS Sunday will see us heading south along the eastern escarpment of the New England plateau before we dive down into the Glenrock Valley. From there it’s up and over Barrington Tops then cross country to Port Stephens. Our Sunday night Awards and Auction night will be held at Soldiers Point Bowling Club. The club can handle up to 400 people in their main auditorium, so we’re expecting a lot of guests coming up from Sydney for the night.
MONDAY Monday morning will give you the choice of either some great dirt roads from the Hunter Valley to Wisemans Ferry, or any easy cruise down the Freeway.
SCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER.
NOTE: Some of these details may change after we have completed our full survey of the roads.
Eligibility: There are 3 categories of eligible vehicles: –
- Any well prepared charity event or similar vehicle, is eligible to enter. If your charity car only gets used one week each year, or hasn’t been used for several years, this is a great opportunity to dust it off and get some more fun out of it. All vehicles must be registered and insured.
- Any modern 4WD vehicle (Landcruiser, Patrol, Discovery, HiLux, Navara, Triton, etc.) Some SUVs may also be suitable, but it will depend upon the actual roads that we will take on the event. Please check with Peter for individual cases.
- Any road registered rally car is also eligible to enter, as many of the roads we use have also been used for some of the iconic rounds of the Australian Rally Championships. All vehicles must be registered and insured.
If you don’t have a suitable vehicle but still want to participate, we can rent a “mine spec” vehicle at economical rates from most of the big Hire Companies – Budget, Hertz, etc).
Expenses You will need to cover the following expenses:-
Entry Fee: a $750 Non Refundable Entry Fee is payable to Charity Car Events. Paid via Credit Card or Bank Transfer when you register. This year’s entry fee includes two Beyond Bitumen 2024 T-Shirts per vehicle. Extra T-Shirts will be available for purchase in due time.
Donation and/or Sponsorship: Remember, this is a fundraising event for Beyond Blue. Millions of Australians are living with anxiety or depression. Beyond Blue is working to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression and suicide in the community by raising awareness and understanding, empowering people to seek help, and supporting recovery, management and resilience.
Each car’s minimum fundraising is $1,500. Remember to get your friends and contacts to support your endeavours. All their donations will be credited as part of your $1,500. We encourage you to raise as much money as you can to go towards such a great cause. The highest individual fundraising so far has been $100,000 in one year. Obviously that was an exception, but we do encourage you to keep going once you’ve hit your minimum target. If you are part of a team with more than one car – each car in the team is required to raise at least $1,500.00
NB: It is a requirement that each car entry must setup a Fundraising page – all monies added to your page go direct to Beyond Blue and the amount added to your donation tally. All donations trigger a receipt sent directly to the doner.
If you have trouble setting up your page, please contact Trish here and she will help you.

Meals: Many meals will be prearranged and provided by local businesses and service clubs, etc. Meal money for these prearranged meals (approx $300 per person) will be due 4 weeks before the event.
Accommodation: Will be at your own cost. We suggest you book your accommodation early to ensure you get a bed.
